Senior Buyer

Our Merchandise team is collaborative and creative, working in a fast-paced environment and as a business we thrive on a collective desire to succeed. We have an opening for motivated, experienced buying professional to join our dedicated Merchandise team on a 6-month maternity cover contract.

The role is to bring the “art” to the “science” – using your intuition and expertise fuelled by data, analytics and, above all, a passion for helping our customers whilst delivering target on sales growth, profitability and market share.

Responsibilities:

•Build a product strategy ensuring a well-balanced range aligned to the business plan

•Managing strategies for pricing, margins and competitors

•Managing financial performance, post seasonal analysis and optimizing stock levels for all categories

•Managing promotion and markdown price strategies

•Source internationally for product and brands

•Maintaining current supplier relations to ensure on time delivery and target margins are     achieved

• Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions and company initiatives

 

What we are looking for:

 

•An experienced Senior Buyer is essential with experience developed within Intimate Apparel, Swim or Sleepwear highly regarded

•A strategic, long term thinker who can implement merchandise strategies effectively

•Strong understanding of retail, local and international brands and trends

•The ability to manage and maintain supplier relationships

•Exceptional communication skills with a forward thinking approach

•Ability to make decisions and use initiative in a fast paced environment
